Raman, a marketing veteran with over 33 years of experience in sales and marketing operations, has handled varied and diverse industry segments notable among which are Real Estate and Photography. He was hogging the limelight in Photography like a colossus till 1996 and thereafter as an entrepreneur from 1999 to 2004. His notable assignments were with international giants like Agfa Gevaert and Konica. His first Real Estate stint coincided with the launch of Palm Meadows the most acclaimed gated community comprising of sprawling independent villas in Whitefield Bangalore. His rise thereafter in the Real Estate industry was no less meteoric when he took over the reins of the Marketing and Sales functions of large established real estate developers like Adarsh Developers, Alliance Group and Shriram Properties and spearheaded the launch of various landmark projects in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. As the Global Head for Marketing & Sales with Shriram Properties, he masterminded a unique logo-change and an image makeover for the group. His recall back into Alliance Group and his subsequent association with certain niche developments saw him explore newer avenues in the sphere of investor relationship management. Having held several top management positions in various companies with responsibilities including Regional and National sales accountability, setting and achieving stretched sales targets, exploring new markets, leading, training & motivating large sales forces on a pan India basis, strategic planning coupled with customised and need-based advertising and more importantly master-minding creative promotional campaigns that have evidenced epoch-making project launches… Raman’s versatility remains undisputed. The pinnacle of Raman’s illustrious real estate career, however, was when he led the famed Phoenix Group’s maiden residential venture in Bangalore ‘Phoenix One Bangalore West’ in September 2012 to an electrifying launch that witnessed an unprecedented response setting the pace for a record 90% sale of Phase 1 in barely 15 months netting a revenue of close to Rs. 850 Cr. Post this, he was associated with the Unishire Group as their CMO handling over 12 million sqft of residential projects across Bangalore. From early 2016, he has moved on to an Advisory Consultant’s role, mentoring and training not only select mid-segment players and fresh entrants in the Realty field but also budding entrepreneurs of ambitious start-ups from other promising fields of Communication, Research and Technology. Mr Raman is also a certified Global Trainer in Leadership and related Management skills.
